Rep terms
Last updated: 29 October 2026
These terms apply when you act as a rep (promoter) for an organiser on tickts and earn commission through a rep link. They are an agreement between you and TICKTS LTD (Company No. 17029682), registered at 124-128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. You accept them when you sign yourself up as a rep, or when you choose “I agree to the Rep terms” on your rep dashboard. You must accept them before a payout account can be connected.
1. Who you work for
You are a rep for the organiser, not for tickts. The organiser decides whether you are one of their reps, which events you promote, your commission rate and any bonus they offer, and they can change your rate for future sales or pause your link at any time. tickts provides your links, the tracking, and the means of collecting your commission and paying it to you, and nothing more: tickts is not your employer, your agent or your principal, and is not a party to your arrangement with the organiser. Nothing in these terms makes you an employee, worker, agent or partner of tickts. A disagreement about your rate, a bonus, or whether you should be a rep at all is between you and the organiser.
2. How a sale is credited to you
A sale is credited to you where either:
- the buyer opened your rep link during the same visit or, where they have accepted cookies, in the same browser within the 30 days before buying; or
- no rep’s link applies at checkout, and the email address the buyer gives matches a sign-up to one of the organiser’s waitlists or sign-up pages that was made through your link in the 90 days before the purchase.
A link the buyer opened always takes priority over a sign-up, and where two reps could be credited the most recent link or sign-up decides. You earn nothing on your own purchases. Your link must be active, and must cover the event, when the sale is made. Sales are credited by our systems as they happen, and those records are what your commission is paid on. If you believe a sale was missed, tell the organiser or us within 30 days of the sale and we will look into it.
3. What you earn
Your commission is the percentage the organiser has set for you, applied to the ticket value of the order before any booking fee, at the rate that applied to you when the sale was made. Where the organiser has set a rate that steps up as you sell more, the higher rate applies from your next sale after you cross the line, not to earlier sales. Any bonus or reward for reaching a number of tickets or sign-ups is promised and provided by the organiser; tickts records when you reach it and issues nothing itself. tickts does not currently take any fee from your commission.
If the organiser makes you a head rep, you also earn an override on each sale made by a rep in your team: the percentage of the ticket value after discounts, or the amount per paid ticket, that the organiser has set for you, at the rate that applied when the sale was made. A sale counts for the head of the team the rep was in when the sale was made, and moving a rep later does not change that. Free tickets earn no override. The override is held, paid and not paid on exactly the same terms as commission in section 4. Sales through your own link earn your own commission, with no override on top. As a head rep you see your team’s numbers, not the details of the people who bought from them.
4. When and how you are paid
- Commission on a sale is held until 5 working days after the event has ended, so that refunds and cancellations can be settled first.
- It is then paid to your own Stripe payout account, which you connect from your rep dashboard. Stripe will ask for details to confirm who you are, and Stripe’s own terms apply to that account. Nothing can be paid to you until it is connected.
- You earn no commission on an order that is refunded or cancelled, or on an event that is cancelled. Where an order is partly refunded before your commission is paid, the commission on it is not paid.
- While a payment is being disputed with the buyer’s bank, the commission on it stays held, and it is paid only if the dispute is resolved in the organiser’s favour.
- Your commission comes out of the organiser’s takings for that sale. tickts pays you only what it has collected for you, and does not owe you commission it has not collected.
- If commission is paid to you by mistake, or on a sale that turns out not to be genuine, we may recover it, including by setting it against commission you earn later.
- If you have not connected a payout account within 12 months of commission becoming payable, tickts may return that commission to the organiser.
5. How you promote
- Be honest. Do not mislead anyone about the event, the price, what is included or how many tickets are left, and do not promise a discount, refund or anything else the organiser has not authorised.
- When you promote an event you are paid to promote, say that you are a rep or that you earn commission, clearly and wherever you post, for example by marking a post as an ad. This is a legal requirement, not a courtesy.
- Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, and follow the rules of any platform, group or venue you promote in.
- Do not buy through your own link to earn commission, create sign-ups or orders that are not genuine, pay or reward people for opening your link, or do anything else to inflate your numbers.
- Do not use the organiser’s or tickts’ name in paid advertising, or present yourself as the organiser or as tickts, without their permission.
- Follow the organiser’s reasonable instructions about how their events are promoted.
6. People’s details
If an organiser shows you the people who signed up through your link, the Rep data terms apply as well, and you will be asked to agree to them before anyone’s details are shown to you.
The organiser may keep a phone number, an Instagram handle and notes about you, so they can reach you about your link. They are seen by the organiser and, if you are in a head rep’s team, by your head rep, never by other reps. You can see and change your own phone number and Instagram on your rep dashboard, and you can ask the organiser what else they keep about you. These details are deleted a year after your rep link is paused.
The organiser may also choose to send you a reminder with your link a few days before an event when nothing has come through it yet, and a well-done email when you reach one of their goals. You can switch both off on your rep dashboard. If the organiser shows your team a leaderboard, it shows your first name and the tickets you have sold for the team to the rest of your team only, and you can take yourself off it on your dashboard.
Head reps
If you are a head rep and the organiser lets you sign up reps, sign up only people who have agreed to be a rep for the organiser and to be emailed their link, using an email address they gave you. Contact details you see for your team are covered by section 9 of the Rep data terms, which you are asked to agree to before they are shown to you. A notice you pin for your team must follow section 5.
7. You, and your tax
You confirm that you are at least 18 and that you are free to do this work. You are responsible for any tax or National Insurance due on what you earn, and for telling the tax authorities about it where you need to. Where the law requires us to, we may give tax authorities information about what you have been paid.
8. Stopping, and being stopped
You can stop being a rep at any time. The organiser can pause or remove your link at any time. We may suspend your link or your account if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, that there has been fraud or abuse, or that the law requires it. Commission already earned on genuine sales is still paid in line with section 4; commission that arose from a breach of section 5 is not.
9. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you in connection with acting as a rep is limited to the commission we have collected for you and not yet paid, plus the commission we paid you in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not responsible for the organiser’s events, or for what the organiser has promised you.
10. Changes and other terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, you will be asked to agree again before your next payout account connection, and we will not apply a change to commission you have already earned in a way that reduces it. These terms sit alongside our Terms of Service, which also apply to your use of tickts and whose governing law and jurisdiction apply to these terms. How we handle your own personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
