About this event
**Pandeiro Workshop with OPA**
The Orquestra Panderística Anarquista (OPA) is a horizontal, non-hierarchical percussion collective where everyone plays, learns, and teaches together. This workshop was born from that spirit: rhythm as something we build in community.
We'll move through the history of the pandeiro and Brazilian rhythms, from the fundamentals of technique to improvisation in samba and samba de coco. More than memorizing patterns, the idea is to create a somatic mapping of rhythm: noticing where the pulse lives in your body, how breath, weight, and movement support the sound, and how the circle helps us find the time together.
No experience needed. BRING YOUR OWN PANDEIRO and the desire to play with your whole body. 🪘
*Also, at the end of the workshop, you'll get to enjoy Passarinha's live samba de coco concert and taste with your body and your mouth the flavor this rhythm has!*
