Discover winter in Cumbria with Alan Ranger on a three-day residential photography workshop. Photograph lakes, mountains, woodland and waterfalls while developing composition, exposure and your ability to work with changing light.
22–24 January 2027 · £1,075 per person
Friday 09:30 to Sunday 14:30. Maximum four photographers; beginners to advanced welcome.
What’s included
- Two nights’ hotel accommodation on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
- Transport between photography locations for the duration of the workshop.
- All photography tuition throughout the workshop, led personally by Alan Ranger.
- Individual guidance on camera settings, composition, exposure and working with the light.
- A detailed location itinerary sent 5–7 days before the workshop, adapted to the weather and conditions.
What to bring and budget for
Bring a DSLR or mirrorless camera, tripod and suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. Moderate fitness is required. Travel to and from the workshop, lunches, evening meals and personal expenses are not included. An optional Thursday night’s accommodation can be arranged separately, subject to availability.
