The Show People Podcast LIVE
with James Graham & Andrew Keates
Wednesday 11 November 2026 | Two Brewers - Back Room, Clapham
The award-winning Show People Podcast with Andrew Keates welcomes three time Olivier Award-winning playwright and screenwriter James Graham OBE for a very special live recording at The Two Brewers on Wednesday 11 November 2026.
The writer behind Dear England, Punch, Sherwood, Quiz, Ink and This House, James has created some of the most compelling stories on British stages and screens, exploring the people, communities and conflicts that shape our lives.
His smash-hit play Dear England brought Gareth Southgate’s transformation of the England football team to the National Theatre and the West End, winning the Olivier Award for Best New Play before becoming a BBC television drama. His acclaimed Punch, a powerful true story of forgiveness and restorative justice, also won Best New Play at the 2026 Olivier Awards.
From the parliamentary battles of This House to the birth of a newspaper empire in Ink, James finds gripping human stories at the heart of public life. His work also includes Tammy Faye, the musical written with Elton John and Jake Shears.
On television, his celebrated work includes the BAFTA-winning Sherwood, set in the Nottinghamshire community where he grew up; the hit quiz-show scandal drama Quiz; and Brexit: An Uncivil War, starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
Join Andrew Keates for an intimate, funny and revealing conversation exploring James’s journey from Nottinghamshire to the West End and Broadway, the stories behind his best-loved work, and what it takes to turn real lives and national headlines into extraordinary drama.
Whether you’re a theatre lover, a budding writer or a fan of his television dramas, this promises to be an unmissable evening with one of Britain’s most exciting storytellers.
With just 100 seats available, book early to avoid disappointment.
All profits support Queer Theatre’s work nurturing LGBTQIA+ talent and bringing people together through the performing arts.
