About this event

I’m Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Too is a fast-paced drama that follows Victoria, a writer in her early 30s, caught in the grip of a manic creative surge. As her obsession deepens, fiction and reality blur.

Loosely threaded with ideas from Virginia Woolf’s novels and letters, Woolf—widely believed to have lived with bipolar —becomes both mirror and myth for Victoria. Blending emotional intensity with humour, this new work is a moving exploration of bipolar, creativity, and the fine line between brilliance and breakdown.

Please note, this is a work-in-progress performance which will be presented in the form of a staged reading.

This R&D is supported by Arts Council England, and presented in partnership with Bipolar UK . We want to especially thank the PPI (Public & Patient Involvement) contributors who have helped shape the work.
