Mad idea - but it might just be your kind of mad.
Running a business when you're older is hard. Running one right now, in this economy, is harder. And if you're anything like me, there are mornings when the motivation just isn't there. No boss to answer to. No office to go to. Just you, your thoughts, and a to-do list that isn't getting any shorter.
I'm not talking about winding down. I'm talking about the opposite - still needing this to work, still having plenty to offer, but finding it harder than it used to be to stay sharp and get going.

This Thursday, 9:30am, is the 2nd GET OUT OF BED Club at the Muni Café, Southampton Municipal Golf Course. Not another networking club run by someone who's never had a mortgage scare. This is for older business people who still need their business to succeed - and who could do with the company of others who get it.
No agenda. Just honest conversation, a bit of focus, and a reason to get out of the house.
One twist: tickets are £20 in advance. Turn up and I'll give you £15 back. No-shows lose the lot - no exceptions, not even a heart attack. That's the whole point.

Important Information
Admission by ticket only. Tickets are £20. £15 of which is refunded if you turn up. No other refunds for any reason. That's the point of the club. If you want your £15 back ... you've got to come. FREE tea and filter coffee. FREE and easy parking.
